Thanks so much for your 6K Santa Dash to support Jill's Fund, Carrie. What a great fundraiser! :D

I've posted it to the General Tortoise and Turtle topic, and to our Facebook pages, so more of our members will see and share it with their friends!

Good luck tomorrow! xx

Come on everybody - the minimum donation is only £2.00 (50p Gift Aid will also be added if you are UK tax payer), and every penny goes to helping tortoises and turtles!

You'll be pleased to hear that I managed to run nearly all of the Santa Dash in costume apart from moving the fluffy beard from my face!! Great route, mixed terrain, track, road, canal towpath, wood, cow pat field, tree root filled path, very hilly! Weather cold and frosty but dry. Wonderful community spirit. Photos to follow! The justgiving page stays open for several weeks after the event so there is still time for people to make a donation :D Thanks!

Well done, Carrie! Quite a challenging route to be dashing through in a Santa suit!

We look forward to seeing the pictures! :D

Many thanks for helping to raise money for Jill's Fund - we really appreciate it, and so will the tortoises and turtles! xx

Well done Carrie!

Thank you for putting in the effort to run in a Santa suit in order to raise funds to help tortoises and turtles. How was the weather?

Carrie's page is still open and you can sponsor her for a the minimum donation of only £2.00 (50p Gift Aid will also be added if you are UK tax payer), and every penny goes to Jill's Fund.

Here are a few photos from the Santa Dash taken by my hubby, who was not running.

As you see, the weather was ideal - frosty but dry. I didn't have a camera with me during the run, but hubby was there at the start and end. It was a really fun morning. A big thank you to all those that sponsored me - much appreciated :D
