I visited the Kempton park Reptile expo yesterday and saw the very impressive cb exhibit of Dave and Linda Smith from Kent.
They had some very beautiful example of their cb spotted turtles for sale.
These together with both Gulf coast, and three toed Box turtles were a real highlight, Both Dave and Linda, do so very well in their Chelonia breeding projects, and are able to empart very good experience with sound advice to their potential customers.

I've just got a 10 month old Clemmys and it is a beautiful turtle. It's extremely shy though and keeps hiding in the plants! I've only had it a week so it's early days and it needs time to adjust but I just wondered if yours were particularly shy at first? And how long they took to settle in?

I have them now for 2 years or so, and they are still shy.
Only when they see food they are not shy and eat out of my hands.
