Halogen PAR 38s

Postby Stuart » Sat Mar 30, 2019 10:41 pm

I've relied on these for years to give a wide angle of illumination and also heat.
But it seems they're becoming scarce and being replaced by LED equivalents - useless for reptile keepers as they give off little or no heat!
Anyone got any alternatives/solutions to what will become an increasingly difficult problem?

Presumably all-in-one bulbs will remain available, but they're expensive and I don't necessarily need the UV component.

I'd already stockpiled several PAR 38s from Homebase last year, and am now buying up the remainder they're selling off very cheaply...but I fear it really is the end of the line...
