Hibernation

Hi everyone, I am inheriting a 7 year old Horsefield Tortoise. He has never been hibernated. Is it best that I carry on looking after him that way?
Thanks for your help

It depends a lot on the health and condition of the tortoise.
Personally I think as in the wild they can hibernate up to six months, that hibernation is part of their natural life cycle.
