Juvenile Leopard Tortoise (Huddersfield, W. Yorks.)(Collins)

Yorkie is a male Leopard tortoise that was being fostered (with another Leopard tortoise) for a short time by the friend of the owner. The owner did not take the tortoises back and after many months stated that she planned to euthanise them if they were returned to her now. At that point, the person currently caring for them took on the responsibility of finding them both a new home. One has already been placed, but this lovely tortoise still needs a permanent home.

The other Leopard tortoise that Yorkie was with had a history or some intermittent RNS (Mycoplasma diagnosed) but Yorkie has shown no symptoms. Due to the contact, however, we do advise an extended quarantine is required in this case. There may be no problem at all, but caution is advised.

Yorkie five year old male, weighs 1280g and has a carapace length of 18.5cm.
