Where is everybody?

Postby AliTBimbo » Wed Apr 11, 2018 6:35 pm

Evening !

I log on to the forum fairly frequently and there seems to be few on here compared to a few years ago... and also Andy seems quiet?

I hope all is well with Andy and Nadine - perhaps just busy?

I am still gutted about photo loss with photobucket - but lots of things to post when I get time - perhaps I am in the same boat as everyone else and just busy?
Regards,

Ali

Regarding users, I think all fprums are far less active now than they were some years ago, as many people now use things like Facebook (despite the questionable aspects of that that platform).

I have indeed ben out of action for some time due to illness - but am now getting back into things. Thanks for asking :)

All started with a bad dose of that diabolical 'flu in late November... and went rapidly downhill from there. Catching a second dose on top, that deteriorated into pneumonia did not help!

Finally back in action again.

I had one bout of that and it put my out of action for three weeks, a double dose must have been horrendous.

Sorry to hear that you've been so unwell, Andy, and glad that you're feeling better now.

As for the quietness of the forum, I've noticed and remarked on that too...and have even looked elsewhere to get my "fixes" of tortoise-related discussion. But check in here regularly to see if there are questions being asked, or incidents being recounted.

Meanwhile Spring is slowly advancing, even in North Northumberland...leopard tortoise has been in her polytunnel several whole days in the last few weeks, and the med. tortoises - out of hibernation but confined to temporary indoor quarters for the last few weeks, might be going out into their greenhouse and garden enclosures this weekend !

Spring has been such a long time coming - just wanted to hibernate myself! Welcome back everyone and glad to hear you are feeling better Andy. Looking forward to more discussion over the coming weeks.

It has been a slow (and cold one) here in Spain too... can't ever remember needing the log fire on halfway into April, but this year we did. Tortoises have had bursts of activity, but still much later than last year.

Sorry to hear you've been poorly Andy - hope you're well on the mend now.

Yep spring is finally showing it's face in Leicestershire now, seems to have been a long cold winter
