Your Tortoise will be better off on a natural substrate rather than pellets. Try using a mix of childrens playsand along with soil that has no chemicals in it. Make it as deep as possible as Horsfields like to bury down.

Hi
Great article, however chatting to my local pet shop; they have been advised that they must comply with the caresheet as provided by the Pet Care Trust as a condition of their licence.

http://www.petcare.org.uk/images/stories/leaflets/2010%20colour%20leaflets/Caring%20for%20your%20Tortoise.pdf

Having read this caresheet, (its not written in the best english); is there any advise or pointers from anyone?

Thanks
Roz

Not a very good caresheet, is it? I see they recommend Calci-sand....
