Soft Feces .

My Horsefield tortoise has a diet of grown weeds in his weed garden . A couple times a week , I will give him a lettuce leaf or two .
His feces are very soft ,what am I doing wrong ?

Thank you Andy . Very interesting .
The whole picture is not so black and white , temps , time of year , what food is on offer , or not, etc .
I shall continue to plant as many different types of weeds as I can , and feed him much more of the Alpin .

Just a thought...but have you checked him for parasites as this can cause soft faeces?

Any cactus or other succulent plants in his garden?
Or anything that falls into the garden unexpectedly?? Sometimes your neighbors may find your tortoise so adorable and decide to feed him and this is what I experienced... :oops:

No chance of that Gloria :) hope you had words with them .
I don't have any cactus , but I have Dragon's blood plant , and similar plants . Although , I have to say , his feces are much better now . :)
