Algeria - with locality!

Postby Tortoise Trust » Mon Jun 01, 2015 9:26 am

This is a rare one... it is very, very usual to get a field report from Algeria these days, much less one with decent photos and a precise location. Going by my own historical records and researches, plus the appearance, I think this is almost certainly a whitei. If so, it is the first one with a precise locality I have ever heard of - so this is important.

Locality: ... 13!6m1!1e1

Found by the railway station. Looks to be some nice habitat towards Sidi Yaha....

Fascinating. It will be released back into the wild later today, thanks to the kind person who rescued it.
