Just found eggs.....

Postby sprakey34 » Wed May 11, 2016 5:33 pm

Today my partner saw my 9 year old Hermann digging. Carefully scraping away soil we have found eggs- 2 so far as I covered them back up as not sure what to do next. Have read many times about incubation/ hatching as the posts have come up and have a polystyrene box under stairs ready. Now I cannot seem to find the info I need- too excited probably. Can someone point me in right direction please. Will eggs be ok in greenhouse tonight- home tomorrow so can set up whatever I need to. Thank
You in advance.

Hello, 56 days on and I have 2 beautiful babies, 11g each and a bit wonky. Both are active when awake and have nibbled at food. I assume the absorbed yolk sack will feed them for a while but does anyone know for how long- when should I expect them to start eating properly please? Both drink well when bathed. They are 72ish hours old now and on newspaper. Can I put them on soil/sand mix - belly buttons look OK if not completely healed.
Many thanks in advance.
