I thought that I had already replied too this thread? However, I too agree that this is indeed a very sorry state of affairs, and highlights the very real issues that Fresh water resources are facing on the Australian continent.
The Turtles, which are marker species in the freshwater aquatic habitat, can be likened to "Canaries in a Mine", when the Canary falls off its perch, then surely the Miner is in trouble. Man needs to pay heed too these warnings and recover a greater sense of balance in his environment.

A very disturbing video. We are supposed to be the superior, intelligent species sure doesn't seem that way when you watch something like that.

That is shocking, what a horrible death they must have had. Hope that something can be done to improve matters.

I don't know why, but I would expect better of australia! i have signed the pettition, but so wish there was more I could do. :cry:
