they will often come on to land and outside in the garden they will eat snails and slugs they find in plants, sometimes danies and other plants. If you a fence around your pond you can fill it and give him a lot more space to swim in which he will thank you for, I'm sure

Thats what Im thinking :D

Hi Julie, didnt get to the forum last night, so only just seen your pics. Your pond is looking great and Rizzo has a very mischevious looking face! Can Rizzo climb out of the pond? Hard to tell in pics, but i assume water level kept down so he cant access the sides? Anyway, well done, I would be "just watching" him all the time if in my house. :D . Cant wait for my pond to be finished, I am very much looking forward to the potential residents. :P
Edit; Just went back for another look at your pics. Rizzo has an exceptionally superior look, very snooty, I think he is very pleased with his new home and sees himself as king of the castle.

Hi Ruth,

He can climb out onto his basking areas, but cant get out of the pond. Future plan will be to build sides around the pond cladding so that the pond can be filled nearly to the top to enable him to get to a 'land area' where you can see the banana plants. He does look rather smug with himself, doesnt he :D
