Hi,

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else in the forum but i need some help and advice please:

In the summer, i found a tortoise in the sand dunes in Anglesey (see my previous posts). Despite advertising the fact that we had found the tortoise, nobody came forward so we took her home to our house in Congleton, Cheshire and have looked after her since.

She is apparently a Libyan Greica and is an adult (over 10yrs old), she has been wormed at the vets approximately a month ago as we found worms in her faecies and is now fine and healthy.

The reason i am looking to re-home Shelley is that we have a puppy and i'm scared to death that the puppy may (playfully) attack Shelley. I'm aware that even a playful nibble from our puppy could prove fatal for Shelley.

Please could someone offer advice on how we can find a good and more importantly suitable home for her??

Thanks in advance

Matt

Matt, you need to contact Julie by pm. If you click on the members on the top right of the screen Julie is a moderator shown in green.

Hi Matt, as Janet said if you pm Julie or Tamie they will be able to help or if they spot this post this evening I am sure they will be in contact. You are right to be concerned about your puppy as they so often think that tortoises are toys. Until a new home is sorted I would keep them seperate as although I'm sure your puppy wouldnt hurt the tortoise on purpose its better to be safe than sorry.

You have deffo come to the right place for help as Tamie and Julie do a fab job.
